The photo is meant to convey a certain message. I wish to leave it up to you for interpretation, as I'm certain different people will see this in different ways. It should speak to both, those religious and not. For me, this most strongly voices disgust, frustration and disapproval. It's just extremely personal.
I previously had a short explanation of the photograph. But soon came to realize that forcing an interpretation upon anyone with this piece is the last thing I want to do.
The photo definitely is more focused on the conceptual side, rather than attractiveness to the eye. Although It's gritty feel surely add to it.
Interesting art work. I like how you did it for both non religious and religious. For me I feel sadness and a "cover up" with holes. But it is still Jesus...and the reflection is powerful.

You have no Idea how I appreciate your comment. There are few things that would please me more then hearing the interpretations of many people on this. I am absolutely thrilled any time I have the chance to at least listen to other people's personal beliefs and philosophies. It was partly the reason this was created, but as you can see, my great plan so far has been foiled by the lack of interest towards this. It's not all bad though. I suppose all what I have left to do now is try to shoot more conceptual works until something speaks to the masses. It will be a blast. :]

Cool dude, glad I can help in any way. It is a cool piece of art. You can be still artsy and appeal to the people. That is what I try to do. I sell my work as prints for your home and office. It is frustrating when people like a sunset over a picture that makes you think... You just got to keep creating. Always create new artwork. Challenge yourself with personal projects. I was nominated for a Daily Deviation today from a picture I took in 1999 and uploaded to DA in 2004. It is now getting its recognition haha It is all good as God has his own timing. Keep up the good work. i'll be watching! Cheers!

I'd like to show you some awesome nature related work from more or less unknown artists which deserve more attention - this is a must see, you won't regret it!!!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
^Ikue has been a devious member of our community for almost 7 years and in this time he has proven to be nothing short of dedicated and devoted. Whilst volunteering his time over the last 22 months as a Gallery Moderator within the Community Relations Team, Chris has brought the Vector gallery and many vector artists directly into the spotlight. ^Ikue's commitment to the community is evident in everything he touches and you can always find him reaching out to others with an encouraging word. Chris is a natural leader with a vibrant and empathic personality, and is a role model for deviants everywhere. It's ev... Read More
